February 2026

The Labor Mobility Program between El Salvador and the United States continues to create meaningful employment opportunities for workers seeking temporary positions abroad. This month, El Salvador's Ministry of Foreign Relations hosted a two-day recruitment event focused on house keeping and cleaning services positions—a testament to the ongoing collaboration between both governments to facilitate safe, legal migration pathways.

A Program Built on Partnership

One program participant, Brenda Carolina Hernández, shared how herexperience working abroad helped her achieve tangible goals:purchasing land, expanding her clothing and footwear business back home, and beginning construction on her own house.

"I want to motivate everyone participating in this process not to giveup," she said. "There will be moments of difficulty, exhaustion, and homesickness—but every effort makes sense when you have a clear goal."
